The Christmas Story House

One of the local landmarks that we have been wanting to see since we moved here is the house where "A Christmas Story" was filmed. We love that movie. We watch it every Christmas Eve. If you don't like the movie, you won't get most of the pictures in this post. We went on Emma's birthday with Silly Mom Mom and Aunt Allison. The neighborhood is totally ghetto, but the house, museum, and gift shop are awesome! A fan of the movie bought the house and restored it to its glory, leg lamp in the window and all.

On the way home, we stopped near the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame/Science Center/Browns Stadium. It was a nice sunny day.

Emma's birthday

Joe's mom (a.k.a. Silly Mom Mom) and sister Allison came to visit for Emma's eighth birthday. We played lots of games.

Emma went to breakfast with Daddy, a birthday tradition for us.

Presents!

"I know there is a gift in here somewhere!"

Emma took some pictures outside.

In the afternoon, we all piled in the minivan with Mom Mom sitting on the redneck style 8th seat (a small cooler placed between the middle seats), and we headed into Cleveland. More on our destination in the next post.

Lake Erie was still frozen.

After a birthday dinner of shrimp scampi, we had ice cream cake.
